Spiny Armadillo Flora & Fauna

The spiny armadillo is one of the many armadillos native to the Istoki desert, though it can also be found throughout the grasslands of Prush. The armadillo is covered with thin bony plates and thick coarse quill-like hairs protrude from between, from where it gets it's common name. The underside of the critter is fleshy and covered in soft vellous hair.

Unlike others of it's class, it is a poor burrower and prefers to find shelter in burrows of other animals, rocks, caves, and man made structures. It's primarily nocturnal and eats mainly insects, though it has been known to occasionally eat leafier and root plants.
