Hello and happy Gornuary from the Founders.
I am writing to all of you to offer a challenge. This is a themed writing challenge. Write and submit a short story directly to us, do not publish it on the site. The deadline for submissions is March 1st. There are a several of rules as follows, please read the below completely.
- Keep with the theme. The theme for this challenge is adventure.
- Open to Citizens who have accounts on the site.
- Do not write the story to involve Well Island.
- Keep the story canon.
- Be sure to check all spelling and grammar as they will also be judged.
- Keep the content to a PG-13 level. Keep the sexual content to a minimum and the violence not too graphic.
- Submit the story by or before the deadline.
There will be several (as in three or more) first prizes selected and we will announce the winners after at least one month. There is no second place or lower.
Now...what are the prizes?
The prize for being selected is publication. That is right, publication. We have been thinking of publication for some time now, and plan on publishing a book of short stories sometime next year and need help with the content. After selection, the winners will work with the Founders, and a couple others, to edit their story.
