New SoundCloud Audiobook Feature

You may notice a new button appearing on stories now.

This bright orange button is actually the new SoundCloud audiobook button!

I've been recording stories as audiobooks as an alternative to the Text-to-Speech button on stories. I don't mind the robotic voice, but sometimes, you just want to hear the original story in the author's voice.

How To Do it

First, record your audiobook, I suggest using the wonderful, open-source Audacity. It gives you the tools to edit your recordings. Make particular use of the noise filtering tool! 

Then, either have me upload it, or upload it yourself. I've been collecting them all in a playlist (Antiford Audiobooks) and I'd love to add yours.

Use the share button and grab the embed code.

Go to edit your piece and scroll all the way to the bottom, and past that into the text box and choose whether the audio is for a specific part (if you wanted to record a collection of stories piece in separate parts) or the whole piece.

Add audio, it'll ask you to reload the page, and it should now be there!
