Grimwalls Technology

The Grimwalls are a collection of texts on post-mortem sciences named for and written by Arthur Grimwall. The first edition was published in 1898.

Arthur Grimwall was a homicide detective, the first to become an expert in the field and create a specific homicide division in the Argenstrath Police Department. Upon retirement from the force he further developed his forensic studies as a mortician and consultant to the police. This relationship paved the way for another new role in the police department, and he became the first Coroner.

The contents of the Grimwalls are the culmination of over two decades of first hand experience with post mortem examinations and the study of forensic evidence based from over a hundred homicide cases. It is the first research presented of its kind and includes sections on toxicology, ballistics, anthropometry, fingerprinting, and posthumous wound infliction.
